Post Additional height

How much height could I expect to gain by putting on a set of 265/75/16 either BF Goddrich T/A's or Michellin LTX M/S. Currently I have the 255/70/16's on. I don't really want to put on a lift just yet but would like some extra height. I would however like to put the largest tire on possible because of a possible 2-3" lift in the future. Is it even worth doing at this point. How about 285's without the lift?

Cool

The 285's fit great and look awesome. But you didn't say whether or not you had a 4x4 or a 4x2. Seems funny but there are quite a few people lifting their 4x2 these days. By the way I was speaking about the 4x4 when I said they fit with no mods. Some have said 285's will fit a stock 4x2 but I have no proof of that. Hope this answers your question.

OLE BLUE-
I think I might have found your proof this weekend at the SA Rally. We were all driving down the road and was pretty sure we saw a non lifted 2WD with 285s. He made a U-turn and didn't seem to have any problems. We were kind of surprised.
