Post Mudder.....if your out there.....respond!

Hey Mudder,

First of all, thanks for the pictures. At least I can visualize what my truck would look like with those 285's. One question though.....What size of rim did you use? I'm asumming there are 16x8's? I want to get a rim that will push the wheel out about an inch outside the fender well. Will spacers solve this little problem?

Noooooooooooooooooooo o o o oo ooo!

Dont use -ever- wheel spacers. If you want your tires to stick out, get a wheel size with a more negative offset.

Most wheels are available in several different offsets (back-spacing). Too many people dont know this, order a wheel in the default offset, and have tires that stick out looking stoopid.

Why would you want this? Are going to add fender flares? Tires that stick out will only only kick up dirt and rocks onto your paint job.

Cool

HIT+RUN,

My rim size is a 16x8. But it sounds like you are lookin for a 16.5. I don't know anything about wheel spacers, so I can't help ya there. But I think wider tires look great, regardless of what riotrob says. Like I said big Ed has them on his and it looks sweet. But I do notice with wider tires that they kick up more rocks, but not as bad as a 16.5 33 would. Do you plan on adding some flares? I have some Xenon flares but haven't put them on yet, probably cause they are so wide. I believe when I go with a wider tire in the future I will put the flares on. But good luck to ya, hope ya get it all worked out.

If you go to a 16x10 instead of a 16x8 you will get the look you are looking for...with the 285s...but like the others said you will regret it later. Even the slightest water on the road will trash you newly washed truck. I like the clean look myself, so I opted for the 16x8 with the 285s......Good luck.Dave
