Question Wheel/Tire Poll

I am in the process of upgrading my diff. and gears and I would like to also go to a bigger rim/tire. I have a 97 S/C 2wd with no suspension mods. If you have gone to bigger rubber on the stock 16x7 rims please type what you have gone to. If you have replaced both the rim/tire please type what size, brand, offsets, etc. There is a lot of discussion about what will rub/not rub etc. TIA to everyone who responds.

I have 245/75/16 tires on stock chrome steel wheels. They look much better than the stock 235's. I get a small rub if the steering is near lock and I hit my huge curb. I'm planning on installing 265/75/16 (I think, 265's for sure). I like the 245's ,but I'm getting the 75% tread 265's installed for $100.

Hi there.......I have a 4x4 (don't know if this will help you) 97F150 with no suspension mods at all, and just went from stock 255/70/16's to 285/75/16's with no rub at all. The guy at the tire shop even had a ramp and we "stuffed" all 4 wheels and lock to lock....LOVE HOW they look. Only thing I have left to do is change my speedo gear.

I have a '97 f150 4wd stock height. I went with 16 x 10 rims and Bridgestone Dueler MT's in 285/75/16. I had to trim a tad off the air dam and the front mudflaps to clear a full turn. Nothing drastic, and most people never even notice.
