Post 285's or 33's and factory mud guards

I'm thinking about upgrading to 33's.
Does anyone know if you can still use the factory mud guards with 285's or 33's tires with NO body or suspension lift? How about with the torsion bar adjustment?

285's will fit great! Adjust the T-bars a bit until you get ~1" lift in the front. No rubbing.

I know 285's will fit. But does anyone have the mud flaps on as well?

Jupiterak,

I installed the Bridgestone Dueler MT's in 285x75x16. Had to cut the inside of the front flaps vertically by about an inch because they were hitting in a full turn. Snipped a triangle off the air dam too, (measuring 1x1x1.5) for the same reason.

The 305's will fit nicely. I trimed my factory mud gaurds about 1/2 inch but no one can tell!

Thanks guys,

I plan on installing some 285's with studs for winter, but plan on keeping the mud guards for protection.

My tires clear the mud guards by about 1/2", if you crank the wheel and check the distance from the edge of the guard to the tread of the tire.
