Talking 35s on 17" stock rims

okay, to put all the questions to rest, they do make a 35" tire for the stock 17" rims on most of the fords. Here are some pics of them. They are Very quite and they are belted and have a speed rating of 112mph. I guess most 35 inch tires don't like to go fast. But these are great! I cruz down the highway at 85 no problem. Here is some pics. They are Mickey Thompson Baja Belted HP 35 12.50 17. If anyone has questions about them just let me know. I love these tires!

Yes, that's right and that's the reason I have four of those coming early october. They look awesome in your truck.

After my research:

Cons: It is a bias belted, not radial. May ride a little bit stiffer and may run hotter than radials which may cause faster wear. (I will see about that).

Pros: Comes in 17" size to fit late model trucks (8.5 to 11.0" recommended rim width for the 33" and the 35"), bias belted have more sidewall strenght and stability, rated for up to 112mph, low road noise and features M/T's Sidebiters for an aggresive look and added traction. 16/32 tread depth. And I have a local distributor a couple of miles from my home.

Mr Scot

Baja Belteds will wear faster than Baja Belteds HP's because of the surface of the tire in contact with the road. Yours have a more aggresive tread pattern and may wear faster.

Anyway, this Hp's will not last as long as BFG AT's, Procomp's or Good Year's, but I will try to do my best. And that's the reason I am ordering 9" wide rims. To get a more even wear. 7.5" rims will try to crown 11.5" and 12.5 " wide tires causing a faster wear in the middle.

Let's keep in touch to see how it goes for all of us.

Thumbs up

Cons: They DO wear fast. I've put on about 9,000 on mine and they've warn down about a 1/6 of an inch or so. I'm thinking of buying another set of tires to save these for off road since that's why I bought them.
