Question 15, 16 or 16.5 and new BF's

Hello All

I need some help deciding what to do. I want to put the largest/widest tire on my Screw that I can without a lift. BF AT's will be the tire I put on, and they offer a number of sizes and widths. What I am looking for is not only height, but width is just as important. I like the look when the tires extend past the fender.

If you have pictures, please let me see.

Thanks

First of all, welcome to the site. It sounds like you know what kind of look you want, but need a little help getting there. Here's my suggestions:
Go with the 305/70-16 BFG AT KO which is basically a 33x12.50-16. Mount these on 16x10 inch wheels. Most aftermarket wheels for our trucks have 4 1/2 or 4 5/8 inches of backspacing. To fit these all you have to do is trim a little plastic off the front bumper's lower plastic valance or crank up your torsion bars. This is not going to make the tires stick out, but they will be about even with the outer edge of the fender's, where I believe they look the best. THis is probably the best looking combo on a stock 4x4. If you have a 4x2, you'll need 3 inches of lift to fit this combo.
You can't fit a 15 inch wheel on your truck, the brakes are too big. The 16.5's fit , but they have a poor bead design and tire and wheel choice is limited.
I'm running 285/75-16 (which are basically a 33x11.50) BFG's on 16x10 Eagle Alloy 102's on my truck. I fit these on my truck stock but I installed a 3 inch body lift for a more aggressive look. THe only reason I didn't buy 305/70 BFG is because they didn't make that size when I bought my truck.
Here are some pics of my truck at stock ride height. There are more in my gallary. Just go to the gallaries and search for Wandell.

Talking

first.......i would stay away from 16.5 wheels.......second.......why dont you want to lift it.........i was scared to lift mine too.....but i have to be honest with you......mine rides and looks 10 times better after i lifted it than it did stock.......wheel and tire size is all a matter of opinion.......are you doing it for looks......are you doing it for traction in the mud. let me know what your purpose is and i'll get back to you on the biggest size possible.....i run 35x12.50x17 AT's on 17x8 factory wheels for now and i love mine.
