Exclamation Largest tires that fit on a 2x4 AND LOOK GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont know how you can even out a 2x4's stance since they come stock with the post runner look....rears lifted higher then the front.......I want to do that even it out, and then how big of tires can you slap on without it looking really bad....like too crowded in the fender, or does that look good if you even it out? Need some suggestions pleeeeeeeease!!!!!!!

thank you

A 265/75/16 looks the best on a stock 4x2 and will fit with no problem. I've seen 285's on them, but looks too big up front.

I have 275/70/16's, and they look pretty good, but are actually a tiny bit shorter, but wider, than the 265/75/16's. As far as leveling the front, the only right way to do it is with a suspension lift. Either the spindles OR arms and springs should come pretty close to what you are looking for. No cheap way out of leveling the front. If you end up lifting the front AT ALL, I would recommene the 285/75/16's. Trust me, that is what will look the best. I wish that I would have gotten that combo instead.

Daystar makes a one and a half inch coil spacer and other people on this board have found 1.75 inch coil spacers. Go with a spindle lift to start. And get either 285/75/16 or 296/75/16. The 275, 265, 285, etc is the width of the tire in milimeters. The 75 or 70 is the aspect ration meaning 70 percent of the tire width. To calculate height you (width)x(aspect ratio)x2/25.4 + (wheelo size) ex. 285x.75x2/25.4+16 there fore making a 275/70/16 tire 31.157 in and a 265/75/16 tire 31.65 but the ride height will only differ by (.25 inches).

get the fabtech 2" lift coils. They will make the truck level and provide better bump handleing. THe cheapest way is the coil spacers. My truck is exactly level with 3.5" lift up fron and 2" lift in the rear. Here is a pic of a stock 4x2 and my lifted 4x2. But keep in mind I have a 3" body lift also, and 35s. But you can see the difference in the rake. Look at how much the blue truck rakes to the front.

Ummmm does anyone have a picture of the fabtech 2x4 3" lift compared to the 3 1/2" lift? I know they have both, one is just spindles (3 inch)and i was thinking about that one..
I could use stock tires and then maybe 32's would be nice...

Just another thought cause i know the 2000 2001's have something different with there 2x4 suspension.

Hey thank you for the picture...how big are your blocks....and how wide are your 33's...do they rub at all? I was thinking 3 inch spindels in front then 1" blocks in the rear and 32x11.5 would i be upset and wish id gone with 33's? Any problem with the 3" spindels? Will it void my warrenty since its a 2001 2x4? ANything to look out for? I want to do it within the next 6 months.

thanks

you won't like the 11.50 part. I have 12.50s and I want them to be wider. They look very skinny. Just for you to think about
