Brake Job & Pads

I am going to be doing my first brake job on my 2001 F150 supercrew 4wd. I have done alot of brakes and don't anticipate any real problems. However I am wondering if ther are any tips or tricks anyone could recommend to make the job go more smoothly, this does have the rear disks (the parks brake shoes have been replaced in conjunction with a recent rear end rebuild.. thankfully under warranty but thats another story) . Also I am wondering what brake pad has worked best for others, Ford really values the orig equip pad to the tune of $119 a pair. Auto zone has the raybestos pad for $18 a pair, which appear to have worked well for others on this board. I am eager to hear your comments and recommendations.

Thanks

Just replaced mine on my 01 4X4. no problem at all. just check the pins for grease i needed to add some a little dry.
I also used those pads and they work well but tons of dust. so much in fact i'm going to have to replace them again. can't deal with all the brake dust. good luck
