Nice looking truck. But hey.... as soon as I saw the bike... memories came to my mind. My first KTM came in 1980 as an MC420. I retired from competition in 1993 as the National Champion of Puerto Rico (Enduros) and made a come back in 1986 with a 500 watercooled and disc brakes. Retired again in 1988 and that's it. But I have to say, I owned Yamahas, Bultacos and this KTM's are great.

I just recieved my Procomp 33 12.5 x 17 allterrains yesterday. Tring to find a good price to mount and balance them. I must say thaey look good on your truck. They are only .5" taller than stock but quite a bite wider. Did you crank the torsion bars? If not is there ever any rubbing? I want absolutly no rubbing.

Sweet truck. Wish mine was a crew.

Now that is a nice truck! Oh, it's mine..haha. Thanks to John for taking the time to post the photos.
DARIN my friend you are out of control on your truck. Man, you don't even remember who I am...Slowguy aka Eric, Ocotillo, Glamis,.. wake up man. Your wife and dog better put some restrictions on your accessories. Your gonna need to upgrade to the 5.4 soon just to be able to move that truck of yours. I new it was you when I saw the signature that went on longer than my screen....and recognized your backup warning device (still laughing). I was in your area on Sat for a Bday party but didn't get a chance to call.
TORSION BARS are adjusted. I first got a little carried away and made the front about even. The ride was pretty harsh and with the bikes in the back the front end stuck up higher. So I brought the torsion bars down a bit. Ride is much better, front sits a little lower without bikes in the back. I bet with the bikes in the back it should be even.
KTMs are awesome bikes, about the best stock for off-road! They come set up with all the right stuff. I just added a Scotts and some protective stuff and the bike rips. I have owned plenty of bikes but my 300EXC is by far the best, no contest. Never mind my friends silly KX500 in the background.
Later
Eric

Damn, I should have known it was you Eric, the background scenery, bikes, and Fords. Who would of thought? I am getting close to lifting it again I am looking at 3" spindles, and AR chrome rims (not sure what style yet) and 33x12.5x16's . This size tire will return my truck to it's original gearing (3.55) I am still running higher RPM's w/ my current 265's. If your looking a lift for your crew, gearing I have a hook-up for you. Drop me an email (see sig in my previous post).

Take care,

Darin

lamoose1:

How are those Procomps working out? I've been debating ordering those to 1) fill in the wheel wells and 2) stop having to wait for the back ordered BFG A/T

Do you have them installed? Do they rub at all, or did you have to adjust the torsion bars? Have you tried them off-road?

Cool

Lamoose,

You have to ask slowguy, because it's his truck. I'm thinking about getting the same tires on my stock 17" rims without a lift. Some have said that you need a lift and some said they would fit...these pics are the proof they will fit. As far as rubbing? Maybe a little, may need to trim the trim?

Question

How are the ProComps working out?? Did you have any rubbing problems? Thinking of ordering a set for my ride but do not want to lift it just yet.
