I have those tires in a 265/75 16.Good in the rain( no hydroplaning issues). Great in snow(well the 6-12 inches that our mountains got not too long ago) Watch out for the slush - the tread does want to fill up with it.( at lower elevations when the snow hit, had about 4-5 inches of slush).Have not had a chance to go play in the mud so I can't tell you how they do in that. Suprisingly ,these tires are kinda loud compared to the goodyears that come stock. These tirres have a very distinct tread design and I think pirelli did their homework when they designed them. I woould buy them again. One more thing to keep in mind. The 275/70 16 size in not a true truck tire. It is a passenger car tire. The other sizes are truck tires though.

Hey,

Go test drive a Volvo XC. They com with these tires. I drove one of these and i have to say they are pretty good. They are not that loud compared to other tires in the simular category when you get going fast either. Go drive the XC and then you know for sure if you like them. We took our testdrive of the XC over curbs and through large pot holes and a mud pit and we had no troubles. We drove in everything but snow and there wasnt anything i would say bad aout them.

I changed to Pirelli ST Scorpions about 5000 miles ago on my 2 wheel drive F150 SC. I went up to the 275-70-16 on the stock 7 inch rims with no trouble. The Pirelli ST are NOT car tires. They're actually a replacement for oem 4x4 tires and have a fairly agressive tread. These tires really stick in wet conditions, handling noticably better than the Goodyears I had before. They sure get more comments on their looks too, a lot beefier & with that little scorpion......
At 110 per at a B&M , I believe these are the best tires I could have put on my truck. They can be found less expensive online at tirerack if you have someone to mount them for you.

I looked at the st before getting the at.The price on the pirelli tires makes them look real good.

DonnyD,
Look on the sidewall markings of the tire. If it says P275/70 16 then it is a car tire. If it says LT 275/70 16. *Most* oem 4x4 tires have the P on them.P=passenger Lt=light truck. The Lt tires are built stronger and can take more abuse than the P tires. This is what every tire shop has told me.The reason I went with the 265/75 is that it is a Lt,the 275/70 is a P.
