Question Chrome plating?

I just added Smoothie IIs to my L recently. I had to have the tires pulled off to add Nitto 555r's this past weekend. The asses scratched the wheels up badly enough that they'll need to be re-polished. I guess they laid them down flat on the concrete floor in the garage. Anyway, I've almost decided to just go ahead and have them chromed instead of re-polished. How much should I expect to pay for this? I've made one inquiry already and was quoted $800.00 for all four. Does this sound reasonable? I assume this includes shipping, since it's a local wheel shop taking care of everything.

The price don't sound too bad but I would check out a few more places before having it done.

I have heard of problems with chrome rims cracking the plating, especailly at the lugs. I am not really sure of this but I would certainly ask some people about it.

Good luck,
Bones

They were going to repolish them; but, since I was going to have the down time anyway, I decided to have them chromed instead.

Maybe it is cuz I live in California but my buddy chromes rims for $350-$400 for 4 rims. It may be worth it to ship if you can save that much $$. Let me know if you are interested.
