First off,sorry for the subject screw up,lol

Is there a coating or treatment you can do to wheels,or aluminum alloys in general,
that will give it a gun metal color?
I am looking for a Hematite sort of color,like a black chrome,maybe?
I know this sounds like it's coming from out in left field somewhere,but I want an interesting look for the wheels I plan to buy. Something that will fit in with the dark trim look of the truck. Thanks for any help in advance,,,,98

You could have the rims (even aluminum ones) powder-coated. There are a lot of cool colors & transparencies out now. May even be able to color-match your truck??

 

Duh,I didn't even think of powdercoat<dummy. But I also wasn't aware
that there were transparent powders out
already. I was looking for something that would let you see the metal underneath.
Sounds like the trick. Might even start a trend,you never know,huh.lol,,,,,,,98

The "translucent" (as they are technically called) powders are relatively new. Been out for around a year and look awsome when done properly. Be sure to shop around for prices & make sure they blast off the factory coatings before shooting the powder.

Then, take lots of pics.
