Hi all: I Finally got rid of the GY RT/S and replaced with the BFG AT KO (265/70/17)...The tire dealer suggested running the fronts at 40 psi and the rears at 37...What are you running them at?
I should note that most of my driving is on the road.
After the Firestone controversy it seems that running them at less than the recommended pressure (50 psi) is not a good idea...
Thoughts??? TIA

Kearney5,
I have 265-75-16 on mine (BFG KO) I started with 50psi and it was way to rough so I backed it down to 40psi and they looked like their going flate so I increased to 42psi and their perfect for me--I put a set on my buddy's off raod and put them at 42 also.

I would run about 32 to 35 PSI. That is what I have in my tires now. The 50 PSI is a little high. I wouldn't run them that high.

kearney5,
I've kept my 265/75/16s (BFG ATs) at 32 psi for 25,000 miles. Rotated every 5,000 miles.
They have worn evenly and I still have 11/32" thread left. At 32 psi, they give you a comfortable ride on the road, and good traction off-road. I don't even air-down for loose sand. My 2 cents worth...
