Question do 285/75s fit on 16x10s

I want 315/75s but am worried about performance and am curious if i can fit a 285/75R16 on a 16x10 wheel. Specifically the 16x10 Atlas by American Racing. Any pics of this setup? Thanks, Brandon

Brandon, The 16x10 will work, but you could also go with an 8. I think that the 8 would be better though. With the 10" wide rim and the 285s it will create sort of a "bubble" effect with the tire, which I think looks pretty bad. The 16x8 wouldn't really do that. It would make the sidwalls stand more upright instead of bow out.

My 2 cents worth

If you're gonna stroke it, POWERSTROKE IT!!!

I'm set up (out of ignorance) with Bridgestone MT Dueler 285/75/16 on 16x10 AR's. I wanted a mud tire that would contribute to handling (there's a contradiction). I got 4 unanimous opinions from 4 different sources that said that setup would be okay, (and Bridgestone's recommendation was 16x8 to 16x10) though I had to be careful not to rub curbs with the sidewall because of the stress created by the bowing. I've been real pleased with the setup. No adverse effects on suspension or tires, that I've found after 12,000 miles.
