Cool Whats the best bang for the buck in 305/70/16 or 285/75/16

i just finished my lift on my 2wd supercrew and now its time for tires....ive all but decided on 305/70/16 goodyear AT/S but ive been hearing bad things about tire wear and hydroplaning....now im thinking about going with 285/75/16 dunlop AT's.....mainly because of 60,000 mile treadlife and cheaper.....please let me know your input on this....will there be a difference in looks between 305/70/16 and 285/75/16..thanks in advance!!!

I don't know how dead set you are on the Goodyears but my opinion on a set of tires that would be the "best bang for your buck" would be the ProComps that 4wheelparts is having a buy 3 get one free sale right now until January 31. I know the AT's come with a 50,000 mile warranty. Well, just thought I'd throw that one at ya.

Cool

285s and 305s are the same height but 305s are wider. I'd go with the 285s with no lift. They'll look good. I had that setup originally. Hope this helps

my bad- i just realized you got lift. Go with the 305s since you have lift. I'd even consider 315s that whats i'm running...

Wouldn't go w/ the Goodyears. They don't wear very good. Would strongly look at the Procomps.

Cool

i was going to go with procomp to begin with because i too saw buy 3 get 1 free deal...but the 4wheel wholesaler here in austin says deal was over dec 31....i then called their 1800# to verify and they too said deal was off dec 31....so thats why im looking for other tires because they want $158 per tire now for the procomps.... VS dunlop ATs are $106 per tire....if youve heard something different but thats what i was told from 4wheel wholesalers.....
thanks!

In another post from just a day or two ago, I think it was Harley who said he called the 1-800# and asked when the sale was over, and they told him January 31 because it was advertised in their Dec/Jan catalog? Man, now I'm upset..I guess I'll go ahead and give them a call.

As I stated in one of my other posts, The Goodyear AT/S don't last long w/ gravel road driving. The rubber is very soft, Better traction, but gravel will and does eat them fast.
