Talking Put my new tires, wheels, and lift on this weekend.

I put BFG All-Terrains (33X12.50R16.5) on 16.5X9.75" American Eagle 1439's (Weld Typhoon copies) on my 1997,4X4,XLT,4.6,Auto this weekend. I read everything on here that said 33 X 12.50's would fit on a stock truck, but NO WAY would these fit on mine. I don't know if it was becaue my new rims were 9.75" wide or not, but they would have definately rubbed. I could have put 305/70R16's on 7 or 8" rims, but then the tires look too narrow. Not only did they rub, but it looked silly filling the fender wells up so much. So, I put on a 3" body lift and everything fits and it looks right! This was the max setup that I still could fit in my garage (2" under 7 foot tall) and everything worked out OK. The bodylift was a tough job though and took the whole weekend to finish. I'll post pics as soon as I get them back.
