Question Pro Comp 33/12.5/17 MT on Factory Rims

I know people are running this combination, has anyone had any problems? The Pro Comp website recommends an 8-10" rim.

Also, Did everyone have to buy them via the internet/mail order, or did you find them local?

Hey Slowguy,
I have a few questions. Where did you get your tires? How much? Did you have to crank up the torsion bars? And why didn't you go with the M/T's. Please let me know, I need tires SOON. If anyone knows where I can get a good deal on these tires, please help me out. Thanks... YZ

I have been running the Pro-Comps on stock 17" rims for a few months now. I really like these tires, no problems. Mine are the ATs and are not really 12.5 inches wide. They look and ride great. Found my local, So Cal.

You can mount those on the OEM 17" wheels. What's going to happen with some time is that you will get more wear in the center due to the rims "crowning" the tire. Some will try to compensate with lower pressure.

Usually you try to get the wheel width as close to the tire tread width as posible.
