Parking brake on rear disks

My 99 with 4 wheel disks seems kinda week on the parking brake. Always has been. I know this uses a separate pad in the rotor so am wondering if there is an adjustment. I sometimes have anxiety on the boat ramp.

I'm not aware of any adjustment, but I do know how to fix the launch ramp anxiety thing. Always put the truck in Park, shut it off AND engage the parking brake. I even go as far as to have a wheel chock on a line (attached to the rear cleat inside the bed) that I kick under the back wheel. One should only launch Chevys.

Within the center of the rear disc rotors, there is a set of small brake shoes that are for the parking brake. It has an adjuster just like regular drum brakes, remove the rubber cover on the backing plate just below the axle and tighten or loosen the shoes by turning the adjuster with an adjuster tool or a screwdriver might work.
