Unhappy tire wear

I noticed some unusual wear pattern on the inside edge of my tires. The inside edge is scalloped and has started making some road noise. I have the stock 255/70/16 General AW's. Any ideas what would cause this?

I just had new 285/75/16's put on my rig and the shop did an alignment and was surprised how bad of a toe my front end had. (Only 4k miles on the truck)? Shop said that new cars/trucks don't always have the best "from factory" alignment. I have also read posts on other threads which state the same problem.

Just a bit of info?!?!?

I'm running the stock Goodyear Wrangler RT/S (255/70/16) and I have noticed some wear on the outside of the tire. The truck isn't driven hard (unless somebody cuts me off), but after 20K, it is noticeable.

For what it's worth....

Out of balance, and if only on the front, out of alignment as well. Remember that curb you slightly bumped a few months or weeks back? Yep, that was all it takes. These trucks go out every time they hit something at and angle. Rotate, speed balance and align at once!

Thanks for the info. I will rotate the tire this weekend. I've been pretty careful to not hit curbs when parking. But I have driven over a few straight on though. Aren't these truck supposed to be able to drive over stuff without screwing up the alignment?

One thing I noticed is the fronts wear the outside edges and the rears the centre. You've got to rotate them front to back once a year (keep them on the same side) to even things out.
