Pro Comp Tires!!
I have been seeing a lot of ads for these new pro comp tires in a 17in size (305/70R17) and was wondering if anyone has seen these or has any info on them. I tried to access their website, but couldn't for some reason. I am very anxious to get these Goodyears off of my truck, b/c as many of you know, they are terrible both on road and off, and they are extremely SCARY in the rain! I had a set of mickey thompson baja belted tires on for about 14,000 miles (34x11.50-17) but they too had to go when they got worn out. however, they were great in the rain and you rarely even needed 4wd when off-roading, even in heavy stuff, but there's no way i'd pay full price ($200 per tire) for them, got them from a buddy for $300 for all 4, less than 2500 miles on them. let me know if you guys can give any info.

I'd like some info, too, if anyone has anything. Will the 305's fit on the stock 17x7.50 rims? If not I would just assume splurge and buy new wheels (16's) too. i am considering the all-terrain tires.

lovemy4x4,
I'm sure that the 305/70R17's will fit on the stock 17x7.5 wheels, especially considering that 305's will fit on a 16x8 without rubbing. I could be wrong, I haven't even seen the tires at all, much less on a ford, but it doesn't make sense for them to come out with that 17in size unless it will fit without a lift. Seems to me like they'd make alot more money off of them if they didn't require prospective customers to have a lift to clear them, but again, I don't know for sure. Hope to hear more soon, or at least find a tire co online that sells them!
