Question Need help on tire & rim size.

Can I fit 33x12.5 tires on 15x7 stock aluminum rims?(I've seen a few trucks that have done this but don't know how the tire was actually wearing.)

you would stand a good chance of breaking the bead on the tire if it were stressed at all. better to go with an 8 or 10 inch rim.

Another reason to combine the "Wheels and Tires" forums.

Yes, you can do that. But it is not recommended by manufacturers because it is very dangerous and the tires will not wear properly. More wear in the center.

I am assuming those 33 x 12.5 are 15" tires as you are mentioning the 15x7 rim. But just in case, usually, this trucks come with 16" and 17" rims.

At least it was posted in the correct wheels section 54. But they still need combined.

As for the tire/wheel combo, you will have to go with at least an 8" wheel.

Actually he posted in BOTH forums.
Just to make sure ppl saw it.
He wouldn't have had to do that if we just had one forum.

They recommend putting them on an 8" rim because it gives the tire a chance fill out more. I have a set on a 7" rim and can tell a slight difference in the way the tire looks. We also have a set of the same tires on an 8" rim. I just didn't have the money for new rims. I don't regret putting them on the 7" rims sofar. I've seen them mounted on the factory rims on countless Powerstrokes.
