Question width of rims 4 33 12x50

Does anyone know if it is safe to have a 16x8 in. rim on 33 12x50 tires or would I need to go wider on the rims and would it effect the stance of the truck?

Reccommended wheel width for 12.5" tires is 8-10". I was running tires that wide on my 8" wheels until I went back to my smaller tires.

Thank you for the reply would they look better with a bit widder rim like an 8.5 or 9''or would the difference be minimal also getting ready to crank the torsion bar should I wait until I get bigger tires or does it not matter? Wasn't sure if they realined(cant' spell) the front end when balancing was done. Thanks again for your input.

1" width in the wheel will make a HUGE difference in the appearance of the tire, espicially once it's on the vehicle. I (personallyl) recommend a 10" for a 12.50. I think an 8" is too small ad doesn't look right. But, this is all just my personal opinion. Take a look at mine. They are 10".
