I got over 50,000 miles out of the factory Firestones, and I thought they were pretty good.

TODD212809, I wish I had read your post about the $47 Firestones in Nashville before I bought these $125 Michelins.

Hey Shifter, I will say, these BFGs really work on wet roads, I came down I-95 out of Va to Nc in a terrible rain, and thes babies did good, also no spinning when turning a corner, like my Goodyears did.
Have the dealer get into your computer make sheet and request those BFGs............Take Care

Goodyear Wrangler AP P255/70/16. Man, I have never before wished so hard for tires to wear out. I can't bring myself throwout tires with tread(I almost said good tires) and I don't hate anyone enough to sell them to.

THESE TIRES BITE BECAUSE THEY DON'T BITE !

I've got the General Ameri-550 tires on mine. Have just over 40k miles on them right now and they're holding up pretty good. I haven't been very good about keeping them rotated, but I would say that I have at least 5000 more miles to go on them. They have a treadwear of 400, I would say that they are good for 45-50K if taken care of properly and no tire burning (just a 4.2L with no major mods).

Original 265/70-17 RTS Goodyear's. 42K miles on them. Lots of tire burning (this trucks are fun to drive), but five tire rotation to protect that spinning tire. Always checking tire pressure. Maybe I can get 50k out of them.

I took off my goodyear 245/75/16's at 40K with lots of wear left on them just could not stand it any longer.. Wish that I had taken them off 49K ago! Compared to the michelin tires they are junk! Handling, traction, stopping, you name it!

Talking

Well,I have the AP's and have 52,ooo on them and there is at least 10,ooo left. I've never seen a tire wire so even and so long. No cupping, feathering, etc. They are slippery when it's wet though. But for mileage, I can't believe they have so much tread left in them. At the goodyear store they told me had put new tires on the truck, and I told them they were the original tires. I'm thinking about a Mich tire some of you guys are talking about, it's just I know how well the AP's have worn. What model of Mich's is it that some of you guys like? Keith

Well, I got 25,000 miles out of my Goodyear Wrangler AT/S, and hated them from the day that I took them down a muddy road, so I couldn't wait until they were gone. Replaced them with Bridgestone Dueler AT's, and have heard a lot of good about them, and got them for a real good deal, couldn't pass them up.

Well I had the RT's and when I took them off I had 72K on them and not even to the wear bar. I hated the tires but they did have a great wear life.

Cool

I have 32k on my original 255/70R16 goodyear AP's. I'm not a fan of goodyear, but these tires are holding up pretty well.
I have a question for all you michelin tire owners out there. Do the truck tires have sidewalls like the passenger tire? You can damn near turn a michelin passenger tire inside out without trying. Not trying to start something, I just showed this to a coworker who was replacing his p-rated michelins. He was very shocked.
