Wink

I struggled with that for 5 years with my Ranger. What a pain. When the F-150 came along, I made a trip to the tire store and had the tires flipped. Now, the blackwall sides are showing and no more problems

Thumbs up

It's really easy. Take an electric palm sander with fine grit sandpaper (at least 200 or higher), and run it lightly over the letters. PRESTO, instant white again! Don't worry, the sander takes very little off other than the dirt and grime.

I use a product called Blech white and a small wire brush. Spray it on and let it soak for a second... Then brush with the wire brush (not hard... Just one or two qiuck passes) then hose it off. Shiny white.

19-seventy Ford:

Pretty truck... Almost got that exact color. Went with the Bright Red over gold two tone. Hardest decision I've made in a while and still not sure I made the right one.

Yes the Wesleys Blech White works well. A stiff plastic brush is really all you need tho'. Another trick is: Brillo or SOS soap pads.

I have found that Simple Green works the best. Just spray it on and use a little scrub brush. I don't claim to know too much but trust me on this one!

I can't believe you guys go to such great lengths to get those letters "bright white" again. Everytime I wash my truck I use a soft bristle brush with Comet. When I am done you need to wear sunglasses in order to look at my lettering Give it a try.

I agree w/ Jim Mc. . . SOS or Brillo Pads. Doesn't take much effort at all.
