Question 285/75/16 OWNERS...

Just want to get a dipstick on your thoughts regarding this tire size on a 4x4 with the ORP. Did any of you have to tweak the torsion bars? If so, what did it do to the handling? Do these tires rub at all, in turns, off roading, what? I am looking at the BFG AT, and at $140 each...I DONT WANT TO SCREW UP!

I put 285/75/16 BFG KOs on AR Baja wheels last month. Only slight rubbing on my mud flaps when backing up with wheels fully turned. This is a perfect setup for a 4x4 ORP.

Thanks Mudder. Your's looks awesome too. The look of the Bajas on your truck convinced me to get them on mine. The Baja/BFG combo really makes these trucks look awesome.

I just put some on two weeks ago, and I love em. I thought at first that they would rub but they dont. I have put them in some positions to see of they would rub and they dont, and I haven't cranked my torsion bars either. You will be just fine, it's a great tire. This is the perfect size tire for a non lifted 4x4 with the OPR, looks great.

As Mudder says they are the perfect size tire for a 4x4, I still think that it is the perfect size tire for 4x2. My truck doesn't rub on lock to lock turns or going up steep inclines from flat surfaces. All of this on a stock height 4x2
Good Luck

I really wish that I had some pics... The wheels are not stock, in fact they are a duplicate to extinguishfire's American Racing wheels except they are chrome and made from EPIC (a division of American Racing). The wheels are 16x8 and hub centric. The tires are Trail Cutter 285-75-16 M/T and the truck is a 98 wht/grey sc flarside 4x2 w-4.6 auto.

I got my BFG 285/75R16 AT TA KO's put on today and they fit PERFECT. They actually had to refund me the money for the front end alignment and add-a-leaf because they had so much clearance they didn't have to do it. The tires look much more aggressive, they handle great, and fit great.

Absolutely no way these can rub with the ORP.
