Question Best fit for a 99 F-150 4X4 Sport?

Mine has 265/75/17's. I want something as tall, or taller...and definately fatter. What would best fit my existing Al. rims, or should I buy new wheels? TIA

Cool

If ya want something totally bitchin' you can get the Mickey Thompson Baja Belteds. They are 31's, which are the inflated height of your existing tires (I know, I have the same ones) I'm planning on a 3" body lift with 34" Baja Belteds before winter. Good tires, a little pricey, but will look totally cool.

Cool

I have the same size tires as you do, and I've been looking for a bigger tire for my 17" wheels...the only one I've found is the ProComp 33" 12.5 17. It will fit on your wheels, but you may get some uneven wear. I think I'll probably just stick with the same size tire so that I don't lose any towing power...let me know if you find some other tires

Actually man, I'm trading my truck, probably tomorrow, for a 2000. I really do want some FAT ol' tires on the new one though...wish I could uprade them somehow. Thanks for the reply.

Jackal, just in case you're still interested, notloc1 has informed me that Goodyear makes the GSA LT275/70/R17. It is almost 33" tall... I wasn't that interested in it until I found out that Walmart will order the tires for $119 each... sounds like a good deal to me.

SurfinCowboy-
yeah...ProComp makes a 305 that'll fit on a 17" wheel...I elected to stay at stock size to preserve my towing capacity.

Warning!! Warning!! Warning!!

ProComp Tires are made by Cooper Tire.

Cooper Tire definatly used to make tires for Firestone. And might still do so,????

Not to chicken little all of your %sses, but what the heck, just a little info.

I was looking at these too until I found out Cooper was making them.

SO, WHITE MONKEY....

whats the problem with COOPER tires? Pro-Comp backs these A/T'S i bought with 50,000 mile treadwear warranty. Cooper will back there Discoverer A/T'S with it too. I love my tires. They are smoother than BFG a/t's anyday. i love 'em. Cooper does not make Firestones. I know that for a fact. The thing about it is that tires are tires. It depends on the goofball that falls asleep on their end of the production line and lets something get outta whack. Then you have something like firestone did. I love my Pro-Comp's alot. I had a set of 275/55r17 Firestone Firehawk's and then a set of Cooper Cobra's on my 93' Lightning. The truck ran 13.7's consistently in high school. I would not go into battle on the strip (or street) with out a good tire. My Cobras were excellent. Just do not understand why you have this deal with "cooper">>?

Had coopers on my first 5.0. They worked great and lasted forever. Just wasn't sure if they were still making tires for Firestone.

Thanks for the info. I would consider Coopers. Although, I've had nothing but great success with my BFG/Michelin's over the last several years. Snob appeal will prolly put me in BFG's.
