Question Any Thoughts-BFG MT or AT?

So what do ya'll think. I'm getting 35" BFG's, but I'm still not sure about M/T or A/T. What are ya'lls thoughts and or experiences with these two tires? Approximately how many miles do you get out of each, and are there any major physical differences other than the tread(# of plies, sidewall plies). Any pics or info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Cool

BFG is the best tire you can put on your truck. No other tire is better. Are you gonna be doin some serious mud bogging? The AT is a great tire, and the MT is one of the best mud tires you can get if you wanna get good mileage. I'm on my second set of BFG's and my third set will be BFG's also. People say Pro Comp is a good tire, which it is, but BFG is still the best. I have been in mud, water, and nasty muddy water and the BFG's have got me through just fine. Good luck.

The AT does pretty good in the mud for an all-terrain.

I've had 31x10.50's, BFG AT's and MT's. At 100% tread, the AT's had nice grip on and off-road. But when the miles began to pile up and the tread began to wear down, those tires became near slicks (the tread fills up much faster) and traction was significantly lost off-road.

Both have excellent highway manners. Both tread designs last near as long as each other. But when it comes to off-road, the MT wins by far. The MT has a very nice sidewall flex and strength. And the void between the lugs is so that even at half tread, the tires clean just like new.

You'll probably be stuck faster in the AT's. And you won't be losing much as far as streetability w/the MT's. The only thing you fall short of is the extra $10 or $15 per tire forked over for the MT's. But you'll pay at least that much on your first tow truck charge to get you unstuck.

I highly recommend the BFG Mud Terrains, stated in my story under the topic "BFG Mud Terrains highly recommended". Although the AT's are slightly cheaper, and have better grip on ice (Canada eh! ). When it comes to tires, cheaper isn't always better. Refering to the Yokohama's. Are they an 8 ply? The MT's that I have are 8 ply tri-guard or something like that. Well I'm off this weekend to do somemore wheelin.

Hey Mudder, how's it going. Nice pics. I really need some off-road pics of my truck, but I always seem to forget to bring the camera.

Question

I'm also interested in the MT and AT. Everyone seems to be talking about mud, but how about hard-packed clay with sand over it?
Has anyone tried the MT here out West? I thought maybe the AT would be better.
Thanks
