Very helpful -- thank you.

I got mine installed today -- WP40 is the key/code -- only those two rear flaps???

My dealer, Simmons Ford in Vicksburg, MI gave it to me with a stripped thread (useless) on one fastener and a screw not engaging the nut (also useless -- but fixable by me -- geez I wish only once I could have something fixed 100% the first time).

I was expecting something to cover over the top of the wheel or at least in front of the wheel where stones get thrown forward and make noise on the bed. Bummer.

Is there more to the kit than what was installed?

You were right about the SCrew coming with the flap. I had to add a piece beside that one, on the inside, to keep water from going into the tail lights. I would like full wheel liners front and back, if they were available, to close off the engine and fog lights from water and slush.
Didn't the 98's come with a wheelwell liner to protect the air intake to the engine inside the left front fender?

Are the wheel-well liners in stock yet? Anyone know?

I'm getting tired waiting for my dealer to call to tell me they're in and to bring in my truck. The crud will be flying around soon here when the snow and ice starts any day now.

Question

First of all... I'M PICKING UP MY NEW TRUCK TOMORROW!!!! WOOOO HOOOO (see details below)

My question is, I'm relatively new here and figured out what a TSB is, but I can't seem to find them anywhere? Where should I go?

With respect to TSB 00-1-4, does anyone have any idea if that would apply to 2001's? Does this TSB indicate that my dealer must install the rear liners upon my request?

(actually, I'm embarrassed to say I don't recall if wheel well liners are standard or not on 2001's)

thanks
(I'll be drivin' for a while... *grin*)

TSB - Technical Service Bulletin
go to http://www.alldata.com

I just stopped by the dealer to get the parts ordered for this TSB. The news I got was that the TSB has been republished to clarify affected vehicles. Unfortunately, only vehicles in the northern climates will be serviced. I guess we Southerners don't face enough snow and crud on the road to get this special treatment.

The upside is that the service guy gave me a copy of the TSB in its entirety:

FORD:
1997-2000 F-150, F-250 LD

Issue:
Dents or dings may be evident in the rear inner fender wells on some vechicles. This may be due to rocks being thrown up in to the wheelwell.

... and so on.

The article number is 00-9-5 which supersedes 00-1-4.

They're supposed to coat the fender well as well as install the guards.

If anyone would like to do the job themselves, just order the aforementioned parts, and I can scan the TSB's instructions and pictures.

Would you mind scanning in the whole TSB and the instructions, Michael? My liners are finally in according to the guy in the parts department, but the guys in service don't appear to know anything about the free-under-warranty aspects and have never heard of the TSB. The friendly guy in parts says I'll have to sort that out with the guys in the service department, and they're a bunch of pr*¨ks, from my experience.
