Thumbs up Winter tire sale for Canadians

Candian Tire stores have a sale on until Friday, October 13 on their Nordic WinterTracs in sizes that fit F-150s. I bought four of them, to be mounted later.

These are excellent tires (I had four on my Taurus wagon last winter). They are made with the special rubber compound that stays sticky on ice and stays soft when it gets really cold. They have the "mountain-snowflake" symbol, meaning they meet high-grip standards for severe winter conditions. They are not LT tires, but that's not what I want anyway. They have snazzy raised white letters, too.

Price for the 235-70 X 16 size is $91.49; if you want the 255-70 X 16 size it's $98.49.
