Post 35's on Stock Rims

I wanted to get a lift on my truck soon and wanted to buy wheels for it as well. I thought to myself, if I can use my existing wheels on 35's, then I'll keep them and buy some later when I get some more cash. Do any of you know, or has this question been asked before, if I can mount a set of 35's on my 16's stock wheels?

Thanks

The Stock ones are too narrow. You need at least a 16x8, the stockers are 16x7

Yes, you can do it. But it is NOT recommended by any of the manufacturers out there. Our 16's and 17's rims will crown the tire forcing them to wear more in the middle. In other words you will waste some money in the process.

I like very much the ORP wheel in the 98's and at some point I was going to keep them, but going with 35's and doing it the right way force me to get new wider wheels.
