Angry No Warranty on Goodyear truck tires!!?

How long has goodyear and other companies been getting away with this!
I recently priced a set of Goodyear Wrangler HP in 255/65/16's,and after quoting me the ungodly price of $820! , the
counter guy said there was no warranty on them. What the hell is this, now. They
don't feel the tires they made are worthy of
any type of mileage warranty? I could see it if they were selling me some 45/20's,but this has got me wondering,do
any tires come with a warranty anymore?

Red face

my goodness, 98, what he talking a set of four or eight???

besides, there are better tires out there than goodyears.

any tire I have ever bought has a mileage warranty of sorts with it. It's warranted to last x thousands of miles, with care meaning regular rotations, etc. or they replace it on a pro-rated basis.

Now, the place I have purchased my last 6 sets of tires, all coopers, for my cars and jeeps, has a tire insurance package of sort, like for $5 a tire. They will replace it if it is damaged and cant be fixed, except for sidewall damage, I think, or if it just wears out prematurely. Not pro-rated, either, they just replace it, mount it and balance it, no money out of your pocket!!! That's one reason I started buying tires there.

Never heard of anyone not putting some kind of mileage warranty on a tire. but now, the govt is after goodyear, so........

That was 4! That 's $205 per tire!LOL what kind of idiot did he take me for??
He also showed me the base price,$149
which is high already. That would make the road hazard, mounting and balancing, etc....$56 dollars a tire? I feel sorry for anyone buying tires there that doesn't know any better. This the Sears on Sunrise Blvd.,in Ft. Lauderdale for anyone who reads this,,,,,98
well,I forgot tax,so sue me,hahaha......
My Yokahama's were $720,which was a ripoff, too at $180 a tire, but they had to order them. I saw them for $130 each in the Discount tire ad. Sheez, you gotta watch yourself out there,or you'll get taken every time,lol.......

What ya doin' in FL. Don't you know they can't count! Sorry, couldn't resist.

A lot of LT tires aren't guaranteed. Especially the "offroad" types (doesn't apply to the HP). Car tires and OTR truck tires usually have some mileage warranty, but who wants those? If you can, wait until you get back out West before buying new tires.

Cool

I travel for a living with a show, well I just tag along with my fiance. She makes more out here than we both do together at home,so we've been out on the road for about 4 years now. We get to go home to see our friends once or twice a year. Sometimes we get lucky on weather and location, but this time the weather is fine, and the housing is borderline. The bed has had my back hurting since we got here, ouch. It looks like a paradise on earth on the outside,of course
I think we will be in Costa Mesa,CA,when the current tires wear out.,,,,,,,98
