Question Should I Bother???!!!???

I think I may do the 4" Racho susp. lift, and 33/12.5/16 BFG AT/S, on 16 x 10.5" rims.
That's a 33" tire. Right?
Would I have to change my gearing? If so, to what? I have 3.55LS now with 265/70/17s.
Or should I just leave it stock and work on other things?

Whatcha all think?

Well I would go with a Trailmaster lift instead of Rancho. Mudder has worked with BigED's lift and its a Rancho, so you could ask him how he likes it. But I have heard people up here saying that it wasn't a good lift, keep in mind that I haven't worked with a Rancho before, so this is just what I've heard...I may be wrong. You should go with some 33/12.50 or 35/12.50 tires both on 16.5 rims, and yes the 33/12.50 tires are 33" tall. You should go with the 16.5 rims, because you will have a much larger selection of tires to pick from. Gears you would go with either 4.10 or 4.56, but if you want some good power go with the 4.56 gears. I think that your truck would look REALLY cool with a lift and swampers.

My 2 cents worth

If you're gonna stroke it, POWERSTROKE IT!!!

Cool

2001 Supercrew with 285/75/16 on 16x8 rims with no lift, they fit perfect. BFGs At KOs are 32.9 (33s). Need atleast 315s if you are lifting truck. My speedo is off, but little power loss is noticed. 4x4, 5.4, 3.55 gear. Friend put 295s BFGs on his had to turn the bars ALL THE WAY UP, not me, truck to NEW to mess it up. he had no lift(tight).

Hell.....the Rancho is awesome. I will be getting this put on this week. That is right, I said it. My truck is finally getting a lift kit, and ya'll have no idea how long, and what I have been through to get this. One little problem, I will be stuck with the 285's for a bit, but I guess that is ok. Well wish me luck, 4 Wheel Parts is callin my name Monday mornin....

You know I will post plenty of pics. I just can't believe nobody else has said anything. A lot of members on here know how bad I have wanted a lift, and just couldn't have one. Now I am getting one....YESSSSSSSS!!!! I am so happy, you have no idea.

You know I will be looking forward to seeing your truck. I think it is probably (you know besides mine :-) ) the most bad *** truck, and this lift will make it just plain mean looking. I know you probably wont be able to sleep tonight. Post pics when you get it all on.

for what it's worth, my friend had a superlift on his jeep. The ride was hard but the quality was high. I've talked to many who really like the ride of the skyjacker and fabtech. I have talked to three guys who have SD w/ 8" lifts and all are running the fabtech now. One in particular got rid of the SJ and went to the fabtech.
The local 4wheel shop prefers the fabtech and esp for the SD recommends against the rancho and trailmaster. No comments ava. for tuff country.
