Post What do you think of these wheels!

They are Chrome Ronal 36's 17x8

I think they look sweet! Anybody else have these wheels?

One question. Will the stock 275/60/17 tires work ok on a 17x8 wheel??

Thanks,
Steve

They kinda resemble the Lightning wheels.
I like em', but I am favoring the 20" lightning aftermarkets.

Come to think of it, you're right they do look like Lightning wheels. 20's are too big for me, I think I'll stick with 17's!

stick with the 17's , the 20"s would require a low profile tire that would more than likely give you a very hard Ride

I agree plus I really don't care for the look of low profile tires on a truck. On a truck I prefer a fat sidewall.

Thumbs up Sweet Wheels

Me Likes! You got the Perilli Scorpion Zero's too huh. Let us know what you think of those tires.
Very nice set up. Be sure to take some pics upon installation. What did the wheels cost you? I really like those. Where did you get them?
Also, yes your stock 275/60/17 should work with those wheels.

Thanks! I think they look pretty good too! Now if I can just stand the wait until I get the truck!

Once I get them installed I'll post pictures.

The wheels are $495 each at a local wheel store here in Omaha.

Here's a page with some good pics of the R-36's on Ford trucks.

Cool

Ooooooooo Weeeeeeeeee those Black ones would look Sweeet on your Red F150.
Too rich for my blood though. I had to settle with paying $150 each for some Lightning wheels here in OKC.

Yeh, they are definately not cheap wheels but I think they will look AWESOME on the truck.

I'm thinking about putting them on my mom's 99 Navigator and taking some pics!!

I won't have my truck for a L O N G time . I plan to order it either this fall or very early next year. Right now I really don't need it so I'm putting away money each month for a big fat downpayment. I made money on the sale of my car so I'll use that for mods, taxes, license, insurance. Also the longer I wait, the more moola I'll have for mods. So far this is what I want to do to the truck when I get it:

Intake- Airraid or Airforce 1
Wheels & tires
Dual exhaust (cat-back)
Ziebart rustproofing
tinted windows
bug shield
mudflaps
bedrug
catch-all mats

Things I plan to do but not right away (depends how much $$ I save):
Katskins leather
01 Lightning headlamps and side markers
headers
Hellwig suspension

Right now I'm spending money on home improvements so not having another car around gives me extra money to do so. If I come into some money (I wish) then I'll order the truck earlier. Waiting is going to kill me (already is!) but when I put a big chunk down and have cash on hand for mods I'll be glad I did!!

"Patience Grasshopper"

I'll post pics if I put the wheels on the 'Gator....

later,
Steve

Why don't you just save up and get a Lightning?

Tempting, but more money than I want to spend right now. Now if I win the lottery that's another story!

Yeah, but if you're saving for a big down payment now. Then also saving to have $$ for mods, why don't you use your down payment and mod $$ for a down payment on a Lightning?
Hey, it's your $$. You worked hard for it and you spend that bread how ever you see fit. Just can't wait to see how those wheels look on your truck.
