Stock Goodyear Wrangler side wall seperation??
Anyone else had this problem? I have read on several web pages that a lot of people are reporting the same type of thing.
Just got my truck a week ago had 34k on it and still had the original Goodyear Wranglers on, looked to have about 25% tread wear left on them. Anyway on a recent trip to take my wife to an airport about 2 hours away the left rear tires disinegrated going about 70 mpg. Luckily we managed to pull over but after looking at the tire it appears the entire sidewall just shredded.
I didnt hit any kind of road hazard that I could tell in fact the tread still looked fine but the whole side wall looked like shredded wheat.
After I got the truck into the shop and got a new tire the mechanic brought me out and showed me the other three and they looked like they had severe side wall stress also. Like cracking and fatigue.
Not sure if anyone else has had these problems but since they came on my truck stock I figured I might mention it if anyone else has them also.

ya luckily nothing happened but I did end up replacing all 4 tires since the others were the same thing and after looking at them a little closer all had severe cracking and deterioration on the sidewalls

theres a couple pics of mine, I did save the blown out one as from all the information I have been getting from the national traffic and safety board and national highway traffic safety it looks like there may end up being a class action suit against these guys just like the firestones' a couple years ago.
