2 lift or not 2 lift

ill keep this short since im having comp problems should i put 285-75-16s on my stock 98 f150 2wd or will i run into rubbing problems, ive seen another truck with them on but don not know if they rub also whats the differentce between a 285 tire and a 33 tire

I've seen several people over at FTW put 285/75-16's on stock 4x2's. They say they fit but the wheelwells look extremely stuffed. I don't think I would go with a 285/75 unless you plan on lifting the truck in the near future.
Also, 285/75-16's are essentially 33x11.50's. A 305/70-16 is approximately a 33x12.50.

Try a 265/75/16--That should give you a good fit, without looking like too much.
