I have an 03 Supercrew 4X2 that came with 255/70R16 and would like to know the max size tire that I can go with. Most answers I have seen deal with lift trucks or 4X4s. The tires will go on 16X8 wheels. All you 2wd Crew owners with big 16 inch tires let me know. Guess I can tell bout the wheels.

 

you have any kind of lift on it, or planning on a lift?
you want a larger, more agressive mud or AT tires? or do you want a taller, wider performance tire?

i have a 33" Mud tire on my 2WD, but it has a body lift. you could squeeze then in without a lift, but would have rubbing issues on corners and bumps.

your stock tire is just a touch over 30 inches tall. if you don't lift, i'd stick with something that comes out to about 31" for the front. the back, 33s will be fine, if you want a raked look.
