?? on wallyworld BFG tires

i'm planning to get me some new shoes for my truck and was wondering has anyone got this tires from wallyworld(Walmart), BFG Land terrain. I live in a country area and would like a good and decent tire for winter(snow) and good on rains and tread life too.

seem to be, when i shop around wally got the best price on tires. i got a quote for $78/tire 245/70/16. will the 245 mess out my speedo reading since i got 235 on it right now.

thanks
simon

Never heard of Land Terrain, maybe Long Trail? Anyway, BFG has a solid line of tires.

245/70R16 will be about 1/2 an inch larger diameter than stock. As long as they as are all the same size, everything will be fine.

I've seen those before.

But I've never seen any reviews or websites that have ratings for them. Heck I cant even find em on BFGs site.

BFG is like a lot of companies, they make low end products and high end products. You wouldn't expect a $100 CD player to perform or have the features of a $400 CD player, would you? So do you think a $78 tire is going to perform like a $178 tire? Tires are one of the things that you seem to get what you pay for. Not to say that you have to buy the most expensive ones. Just remember, there is a difference between cheap and inexpensive. However, I don't personally have any experience with these BFG Land Terrians.

I just had a set of liberators from wally world put on and they are great tires for the money. They are made by michlin and were 320.00 installed set of 4 with complete warrenty/rotation/flat repair etc... handle great/quiet and are perfect in the rain/mud. I to live in the country and drive a long ways to work so a 700 set of tires would be a waste for me. they have a 40,000 mile warrenty and look good. I had 265's on and the speedo changed little so you won't have a problem with the 245's i had 235's on mine when i bought it. I now have 255's and have no speedo difference.

Look similar to BFG Rugged trail T/A's

We just got two of these tires put on my mom's '00 E150 Van(The wally world ones), we got them because we were told that despite the Liberators being popular for there price that these tires were a better buy. The Land terrains look similar to the Rugged Terrain T/A's The difference I see is that the Land terrains from wal-mart have fewer tread blocks than the rugged trail, and the ones from wal-mart have a 200 pound load rating advantage. I wouldn't hesitate to get them.

Yes I realize this is almost a 3 week old post, but I figure the guy could use as much info as he can get.

I put a set of the BFG Land Terrains from Wallyworld on my 96 F-150 and they are a great tire. I do not know what the difference is between them and the All-Terrain T/A but these look like solid tires. I have put about 10,000 miles on them and they appear to be wearing great. I had them on last winter and they are real go getters in the snow. I don't think you will be dissapointed if you pick them up and they are a great price.

personally i would not buy tires from a store notorious for messing peoples vehicles up. knew a guy who took in his monte carlo for an oil change and left and bout a quarter mile down the road, the oil just poured out from under his car due to te incompetent workers at wal-mart puttin in the wrong size oil filter. so just remember if they have bad service, can they really have that good of products? i would try tirerack if you are pinching pennies.
