Question Widening my SCrew's footprint

I am way out of my element on this subject and need some advice/feedback:

After looking at the rear profile of my 2003 KR Screw, I started thinking it would look better if the wheels were moved outward. I guess there are spacers that would accomplish this although I don't know which are good and which might be junque. Also:

Would this be a SAFE thing to do?

How would it affect handling?

How much is too much?

I do not want to modify the wheel wells and so that is a constraint to how much spread I could handle.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Dave...

wheel spacers will put more stress on your ball joints and can lead to early and costly replacements of them......even with 16x10 wheels they dont stick out much on the F-150's but 16x8's or 16x10's with a wider tire itself def makes a diff in appearance. my 2 pennies man.....good luck

I agree, go with a wider wheel.
