Unhappy Brakes And Other Problems

Hi to everyone, I am new at this! I bought a f-150 2004 back in march of this year. I had all kinds of problems with the brakes. The first thing that happened to me what the brakes went out when i was turning into a gravel road. I then ended up in a amish person front yard, better that than the ditch. I called ford they towed it back in. ( oh i did have the brakes worked on that day there, they was squeaking bad). Well they say the master cycliner went out. So they replaced it. the next week I was at a horse show and the peddle went to the floor at a stop light. i pumped them up and they seem to be fine again. I took it back they said nothing showed up, but maybe something happened with the abs. well then the brackes did something again the week after I had just washed it and when pulling out of the car wash they slipped 3 times trying to stop! In the middle of all this the moon roof drove you nuts making a clicking noise on and off . they had replaced my rear end twice and it still howled, ( there is going to be a recall in the rear ends they have techs working on that problem now). Also the truck would just die in the middle of intersection. My door locks would come unlocked when i put the brakes on also. ( I named mt truck christine). Needless to say the dealer bought my truck back and let me pick another off the lots. I didn't get the moon roof this time and got nicer wheels wish me luck. anyone else have these kinds of probems?

you sound like you have an electronic problem, along with everything else your going thru. my 2003 had to have the PCM (computer ) replaced because my windshield had a leak directly on it. my interior lights would keep coming on and off. i was told by the tech guy that some people had problems like you mentioned, horns going off, 4 x4 engaging on its own. not sure if this is part of your problem since it's a newer body style but you never know. you didn't mentioned if you had the heritage F150 which would be the same as mine. either way, i would go directly to Ford on this truck of yours, there is no way you should be having that kind of problems with a new truck. good luck

i guess i should have read the whole message. they did buy your truck back, good for you. that's what they should do when you have a lemon like that. i hope your new truck is better.

Hi thanks for the reply. It is good to know I am not the only one having these problems. At one point I really thought i was going crazy! It took a lot of patience and time running to for every week, but i will say the shop manager worked with me and through all this told me a sorry about a ford he had so he made me feel not so crazy my truck was a black f-150 2004 supercrew lariat 4x4
5.4 triton
trailer tow package
with a moon roof that would click when ever it wanted. the truck i got the second time around is a dark green without moon roof but i got better wheels it is the supercrew lariat with 4x4 5.4 triton. Did you know there is going to be a recall on this rear end? they have techs working on it now! I added you as a buddy hope you don't mind!
