leveling kit + tires

if i got the 1.5" Daystar leveling kit, what tires should i run? i have the stock 16x7s w/ the 255s. Could i run some 285s or should i just go with the 265s? with either tire, what kind of power/mileage loss would i get? Is it worth it to regear to compensate for the loss? i have no idea what size gears i have now, so what size should i get?

thanks

You could fit 285/75-16's (33x11.50) using your stock 16x7 wheels or aftermarket 16x8 inch wheels. If you are not going any higher, I'd stick with a 265/75-16 (32x10.50). The power loss with 265's won't be quit as bad as with the 285's.
