JUST BOUGHT A NEW SET OF FIRESTONE DESTINATION A/T'S YESTERDAY.........265/70/17. HAD TO TRY THEM OUT YESTERDAY WHEN I CAME HOME. THEY DID PRETTY GOOD AND WHAT A DIFFERENCE A NEW SET OF TIRES DOES TO THE DRIVING AND HANDLING OF MY TRUCK............VERY QUIET TIRE. GOOD IN WET GRASS AND SOME MUD........WAITING ON SOME SNOW.........SO FAR SO GOOD THOUGH.............ANYONE ELSE HAVE THESE TIRES? HOW DID THEY PERFORM FOR YOU? AND HOW DO YOU LIKE THEM?.

Talking

i have not tried them on the rain yet....but a friend of mine has a set and he says there really good. he claims there compareable to the duellers..............and as far as out the door goes...........well my brother works for bridgestone/firestone and i get his employee discount.......so out the door tires balance and install were 347.00..............very very cheap........i believe the guy at the store said it was a 200.00 discount. i really like the looks of the sidewalls better than the duellers also..........the destinations have some sidebites on them that really add to the tire.........i'll keep you posted on the rainyt handling as soon as possible

Ok its been some day here and cold as well...I priced tires at 4 local places...some did not even have my size in stock...I wanted the Bridgestone revos but because of this thread I was willing to try the Firestone a/t...

Well in the end I made a deal for 4 Firestone Destination A/T's...balanced on the truck , taxes of 15 %, cost 948.00 Canadian funds...They look super, with nice side bites like was stated above...They drive super...I know I'm going to love them...I think they will save me some gas mileage as well...

They set the tire pressure at 40 psi and they roll very easy and steer way better than the old goodyear rs/t's as well...

I'm going to sell the old tires in the local paper to cut some of my costs...

I just had my Destination AT's in the mud and they did a great job. My buddy who is a Chevy man said he did not think I would get through all the mud in my Ford. Well I made it through and I was very impressed with the way the Deasination AT's handled the very sloppy conditions. If they handle the snow and ice the way they did the mud, then I will see no problem going anywhere I choose to travel.

great tire at a great price.

I'd love to get these for my F150 but I'm limited by my 17" rims and 3.31 gearing. Stock is 275/60-17 and tirerack only lists 17 options of any brand. I got some pricing locally for the Michelin cross-terrain SUV and Yokohama Geolander, might need to take out a second mortgage for new rubber.
Michelin Cross Terrain $205 each plus tax, about $875 OTD
Yokohama $175 each, $750 out the door

Seems like these trucks are sensitive to what kind of rubber you put on them. Cheapo tires can ruin an otherwise decent truck.

I now run 40psi and its made a world of difference to how the new tires run...The installer told me that was the right psi on these tires as well...

I can't say enough about my new Firestone Destination A/T's best investment and upgrade I made on my truck...$947.60 complete , (195.00each)out the door , Canadian funds...and our tax is 15% here...They hold the balance and roll very well...nothing they don't do well...

More Pictures in my gallary...

Talking just an update

Howdy all,

.........Just an update on the destinations....I now have 5000 miles on them and have them in every traction condition possible except sand. And they have performed exceptionally well, no regrets in buying them. I am going in for my forst rotation today. Just thought someone might want an update.

LE's Here

Since I am all street driving I bought the Firestone Destination LE tires and they are impressive. As stated above, excellent wet and dry traction. With my step up in size from stock and my limited slip differential the tires very rarely spin at all. Great tires for the money. They are a very good buy.
