New wheels and tires! help!

Hello everyone! I am new to F150 online and must say that this is a great place to get info on Ford trucks, everyone is real informative. This is my first truck ever, and I must say that after alot of shopping around, nothing comes close to the Ford trucks. Anyways, I got my 05 F150 reg cab FX4 about 3 weeks ago and am ready for a few mods. Tomorrow, I am putting on a Leer 700 tonno and a bedrug. On Sunday, I am installing a 2" EZ Lift leveling kit. Very soon after leveling, I am thinking of putting on 18X10 Mickey Thompson classic lock wheels and BFG AT 285/65/18 tires??? Do you guys think I will have any problems??? I think the wheels have 6" backspacing and I want a close to stock look (tires within or at the wheel wells). Do you think 35's will fit??? Thanks in advance for all your comments.

Honestly, I don't think the 33's are gonna fit because of the 10 inch wide wheel. They may, but it will be close. I know several people have fit 33's by using a 9 inch wide wheel with 5 inches of backspacing, so it will be close.

Thanks for your response Wandel! Yeah, after further research, I don't think the 6" backspacing is going to work either. I am going to look for 18X9 wheels with 4.5 to 5 inches of backspacing. That should work on my truck with 33's. With these specs, the tires should stay within the wheel well or right at it?? What do you think?

I don't think the 6 inch backspacing is gonna be the problem (stock is 5 1/2), I just think 10 inches is a little too wide. I think a 9 inch wheel with 5 to 6 inches of backspacing would be close to perfect. I don't think 4 1/2 inches of backspacing is enough for a 9 inch wide wheel.

Gonna go with Procomp 1079 wheels (18X9, 5" b.s.) and BFG 285/65/18 tires. Should be nice! Thanks again Wandell.

I also need help with wheels and tires. Does anyone think that I will have any problems if I put a 16X8 inch American Racing Wheel with 275/70r16 Buckshot Maxxis tires on my 02 F-150 FX4. I am trying to stay away from lifting my truck.

Thanks
