Does anyone know if I can fit 285 70 17s on my 05' without putting the 2 inch leveling kit on? Also does anyone have any experiece with a 2 inch leveling kit?

 

You can if you have a 4x4.

 

I just put 285's on my 2004 FX4, I also have the autospring 2 inch kit they will fit it just looks funny cuz you have the nose bleed in the front, they will look stuffed under the truck it'll look much better with a leveling kit to go with them tires

 

I just had 17" 285's put on my 02 Screw 4x4 last week with no clearance problems at all and they look great. They are Toyo Open Country 8 ply, so I'm hoping to get a lot of mileage out of em'.

 

Did you put them on without a lift or any thing, just a stock truck.

 

Yep, just a stock truck with the FX4 pkg.

 

I have the 04 with the revtec 2" leveling kit and tires are 295/70/17 looks really good. There is another ford here in town with 285/70-17 and they fit with no leveling kit but it looks a lot more crowded under the front. Check out my pics in my gallery.
