BFG AT's vs Michelin LTX
New member, first time post. Question about tires. I have a 03 F-150 4X4 5.4 extra cab with those Goodyear Wranglers (P255/70R16) that most people hate. They only have 30,000 and are horrible in the rain. Most of my driving is on the road and sometimes pull a 29 ft travel trailer. I am looking at the BFG AT's (LT265/75R16), but concerned with the road noise and lose of MPG. I really like the look of the tires. Would it be better to go with the BFG AT's or go with more a car like ride with the Michelin LTX (P255/70R16).

For starters if you plan to ever tow or haul a load go to 'LT' over 'P' tires.
These tires have a 30% overload built into them over what is printed on the side. Also, the more plies the cooler the run, the longer they last. Adversely they will ride a little rougher.
Which LTX?
M/S.......A/T.......A/S
All different beasts

Just visited wallyword online and they list all of them in 'LT' series, size LT265/75R16. Prices for the A/S are 179, A/T are 196 and M/S are 181. For the price difference I think the BFG's are a better deal. The easy availability of the BFG's if you ever needed to replace one are second to no other tire out there. Wear, road noise, ride comfort would probably put Michelin on top especially with the A/S and M/S.
What it all boils down to is what's more important to you? They are all quality tires.
