there is a few reasons I want 17 instead od 18's. first of all is money. I would have to get all new rubber and I still got 2 years left on my current tires. second the new tires for 17's are all cheaper than for the 18"s and lastely they are a little lighter and cheaper than the 18 inch rim. thats my reasons. if I don't find a rim I like in 17's in the next 6 months or so I will probably get 18 inch rims. so far I haven't been able to get any one to sell me these rims in the 17 inch. I do know the backspaceing on the 18's are 5.5 the same as stock. I do believe the 17X9 is the same but I am not sure about the 17X8's.

I suspect that those rims are 18's. sense he chose not ot pose any pics of the tire size. also every dealer that I have tried to buy them from says they wont fit. and others have had the same experience. I have not seen any one else with the 17's. so I now have my doubts. I don't mean to call him a lier but it is not hard to post a pic of the tire size.

Sorry for the wait, I have been away at school and do not have a digital camera at school so I had to wait until I came home. Here is the picture of the size- 295-70-17. Proof that I am not a liar.

hay texaggie I did not really mean to call you a liar. It is just that I have not been able to find anyone to sell me those 17's. you say they are 17X8's not the 17X9's. I tried buying those from one dealer that told me the 17X9's would fit and not the 17X8's. do you know the backspacing? I am not sure who to believe enymore I have heard so many conflicting answers on these rims fitment. I have one other option if you could give me some contact info from the dealer you got your rims from I might be interested in sending some more business his way. as long as he dosn't charge too much. I would greately appreciate it.

I understand your frustration, as I was just as confused as you were when I was looking for my wheels. All I know is I went into a local truck shop and told him that I wanted 295-70-17 terra grapplers on Helo Maxx 6's. He called the Helo dealer and they told him that the 17x9 would not fit on our trucks but the redesigned 17x8 would. I looked them up on the internet and one website said the 17x8 have a backspacing of 4.25 in. The truck shop ordered the rims and the tires for me. You can talk to them and maybe they could clear up some of your confusion. I will e-mail you with their information. Good luck!

hay texaggie do you remember what web site you found the backspacing listed for these rims. I haven't been able to find any web site that lists the backspacing for helo's. or any other specs for that matter. thanks for emailing the info I will try to find some time to give them a call. do you remamber how much you paid for those per rim. oh yah how you like those nitto's I was thinking of trying those tires next but am not sure. I do know I like the bfg's I got. don't know if I want to change. oh yah and where are you located? wht state. I am just curious so I can figure the shipping if I buy the wheels from your dealer. thanks

I found the backspacing information on https://www.f150online.com/forums/li...elsforless.com
The link will not take you directly to the Helo maxx 6, just go to wheel search and search for size 17x8 in Helo Wheels. I paid $215 per wheel from the truck shop. I probably could have found them cheaper on the internet but it was too much of a hassle to deal with, so I just let the shop handle it. I really like my terra grapplers. They are surprisingly pretty quiet and I just think they look a little more aggressive than the BFG A/T's. Just my opinion. I live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and that is where the shop is located as well. Let us know how it goes!
