I think you have a problem with the installer, not the tires and wheels. I've seen dozens of 325/60-18's and 325/65-18's on 9 inch wide wheels. Also, the 60 in the size refers to the height, not the width. The first number is the width of the tires thread in millimeters. A 325/60-18 is 100mm's wider than a 225/60-16.

Just a word of warning. I blew a tire up with 100 pounds once. My boss told me to do it and leave it to see if the tire would seat, lol. Of course we came back from lunch and the tire had split in two straight across the tread from bead to bead. It must have sounded like a cannon going off in that locked up metal building, haha!!,,,,98
