2004 F150 Xlt Super Crew Warped Rotors
My super crew has 28,000 miles and this is the 2nd set of front rotors I've had installed due to warping. The factory rotors are CRAP!! DOES ANYONE RECOMEND A GOOD SET OF HEAY DUTY SLOTTED ROTORS FOR MY RIG, I'M DONE WITH THE DEALERSHIP, I'LL INSTALL THEM MYSELF!! And has anyone else ran into this problem...????
thanks for your input....

yup
i blew through my front rotors on my 2003 supercrew aswell i have no idea why but i got new ones and now i have great braking but they make a squeakin noise which is probably due to the metallic pads but who cares, anyways Baer makes some nice drilled and slotted rotors im not sure if they make em for the 2004's yet but worth researching, theyre called Decelerotors, check em out

Warpped Rotors 2004 Screw
I just took mine to the dealer for routine maint. and told them that I was getting a pulsating brake pedal (21,000 miles) felt like rotors to me. They checked it out and verified the problem, my service rep called me and I have an appointment to get new rotors and caliper on 11/1. He said that there was a new service bulltin released about this problem and the are fixing it at no charge. They also rotated and balance my tire at no charge because I complained about a steering wheel shimmy at 65 - 70 mph. Hope this helps someone out there.

I took my 04 F150 to the dealer at 16,000 miles with paulsing brake pedal and the replaced the rotors but it took 2 days because he said the had redesigned the rotors. I ended up putting ceramic pads on, because after the new rotors I had a sqeal I couldn't get rid of. Ford said it was the high matalic content of the pads and there wasn't much they could do. The pads fixed that problem.

I just took my truck to the dealer this morning to have a few issues resolved. One of the issues I mentioned was the excessive wear on the rotors at my current mileage (20,654). My truck has a build date of 3/04. The service advisor was willing to give me a brake check for 29.95. I asked about the possibility of resurfacing or replacing the rotors and he said they are only covered for one year or 12,000 miles. Do I need to get tough with this guy and quote TSB 05-21-19? I know the stealership and service guys hate to have customers come in talking about TSB's, but I feel I'm getting the shaft here.

my truck is also a 2004 born on date jul 04, with 16,000 mi on her and I told them.(THERE IS VIBRATION IN THE BRAKE PETAL WHEN BRAKEING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS).They Replaced Rotors and Calipers(New Brake Pads Come with these)and all is well. dont complain about the grooves or the brake dust.... They will find the TSB. Mention maybe hearing about a New TSB to fix this from a friend who had this problem with his F-150 good luck and maybe try a different dealership...

I am pulling a 6800lb trailer and have been told that these exist...
