Brake Dust Shields

Go with EBC Greenstuff pads, they have practically no dust! You'll get more road grime, then you EVER will brake dust. Great performance and longevity as well. Stay away from those shields, you take a big risk of over heating your brakes in trafic, or performance driving. Alot of dmg can happen to your brakes and rotors with over heating, and ALOT of brake fade. You may have the cleanest rims, but a smashed in front end never looks good. JMO

I think alot of you guys who have said no problems with the shields fail to realize that most of you have done less than 10K miles with them. (from reading the posts) Wait till you get a few miles on them and see. Even my local ford parts department, who has about 100 of them in their little parts room, will look at you and tell you they are schit

I can only speak from my own experience. I had a set of them on a TransAm years ago and put about 40-50K on them before I traded it. I had no problems with them. I just bought a full set for my 05 Scab and have put about 1K miles on these. So far no problem. As far as keeping the rims clean they do a good job, and I haven't noticed any lack of braking performance. I use my truck as a daily driver, and only tow a boat with it 8-10 times per year so it's used pretty lightly.

I have both front and rear Kleen wheels on my F-150. I have over 30,000 miles on them and drive in the worst traffic (stop and start, lots of braking Houston traffic). Never had a problem, ever! As for them melting to the wheel, OMG get a pair or look at a pair and you will see this is very, Very unlikely. They are as safe as something going on your wheels can be. I have hear of people talk about warped rotars and having to replace their pads to often on these trucks EVEN without having a product like Kleen wheels on them. If you do a simple search you will find there are more post complaining about these cheap parts then about product failure due to products like Kleen Wheels. The people that actually own them, love them.
