I have no faith in these tires. However, the Ford dealer and one tire place I went to said I couldn't put a bigger tire on the truck. My only choices were the 235/75/17 Hankooks or I could go to a 255/70/17 or 245/65/17. I want a slightly taller tire to fill all the empty space in the wheel well. Am I out of luck?

Out of all the full size pickups only Ford puts on small whimpy looking tires. My 150 was in for work and the mechanic said my tires (285s) were much to large for the truck. These should be standard. Dodges have nice size tires on their trucks. 2 wheel drive Dodges look beefier than Ford 4x4 F150s.

Looks great! I did the same thing; I drove right from the Ford dealer to the tire shop not a mile away and upgraded the Hankooks to the 265/17 Revos. They even gave me a $50 per tire allowance trade toward the Revos. I have had everything from Cooper A/T to BFG KO's and without a doubt these are the best tire for all around use IMO. If you off road hardcore than the obvious choice is still the BFG's, but for everything else the Revo's are hard to beat.

Have had 265 17 P rated Revo's for about two years now. They are the greatest. You would not believe where I have been with them - most of the hunters are chained up - not me, the Revo's are really the greatest both on and off of the road. Will never purchase any other tire for my Screw. Semper Fi

While, the dealer and the tire shop you went to may not be able to do it. I believe it can be done.

I went from 235/70/17 Hangooks to 265/70/17 Revos, and my speedo is off about 3mph or 5%. These trucks should have come with a larger tire from the factory, but Ford decided they could save a few bucks by installing inferior brand smaller tires. Go figure.
I have also ordered the XcalII from Troyer so I'll eventually get the speedo corrected.
Thanks.
