Depends on what tire you are looking at. If you go to the manufacturers website of the tire you want you could find all the information as to the load rating and the minimum rim width as a guide. I for example have 33-12.50/ 18 on factory wheel of 18x7.5. The tires minimum rim width is stated as 8.5" wide so I figured half inch on each side would not be that bad and have had them for 4000 miles with no problems. Some are running 35" tires on the factory wheel that is 7.5 inch wide. 325-60/ 18 are about 13.5 wide and rub on the control arms when on the factory wheel. Usually with your width of rim you should have alot more options. WANDELL (on the forum) could give you a better figure if you decide what diameter you want. Good luck

I agree. Check the tire manufacturer's website and try to stay close to what they recommend. What size did you have in mind?

9's will be fine with 12.50 inch to 13.50 inch wide tires. If you want to go to a wider tire than that, I'd go with 10 inch wide wheels.
